He married abt. 1643, ELLEN PELL, died 5 Aug 1689 in Rowley, MA.ELLEN PELL was maid servant of Atherton HAULGH and was admitted to First Church of Boston 4 (5) 1641.  She was dismissed to Rowley via marriage 21 (2) 1644 (The Pioneers of Massachusetts by Charles Henry Pope {reprint Baltimore, Genealogical Publishing Co., 1969} Page 352).

	Hilkiah BOYNTON owned the covenant of the First Church in Rowley, MA in 1709.  He was in full communion with this church in 1719. (Early Records of Rowley, Mass. - First Record of the First Church copied and communicated To the Essex Institute by George B. BLODGETTE of Rowley, Mass. {Salem, MA 1898)Pages 89 & 101).
 	 
                Hilkiah served as a pounder in Rowley, MA on 12 Mar 1717.  He is mentioned in the Primes Store Accounts as follows:  Hilkiah, a carpenter bought board and nails {bord and clabert) in large quantities for cash with one exception when he made a reel for one shilling (Amos Everett Jewett & Emily Mabel Adams Jewett, Rowley Massachusetts - Mr. Ezechi Rogers Plantation 1639-1850  {Rowley 1946) Pages 64 & 253).
 	 
	Hilkiah served in several town offices in Lunenburgh, MA.  He was selectman 1728, 1743/44; moderator 1731, 1732, 1733, 1743 & 1744.  He was tythingman in 733/34, committee man 1735/36, 1743; surveyor of highways 1739/40. He received 3 pounds for keeping of school in 1732/33 and received 03-6 in court costs in 1744/45 (Walter A. Davis,The Early Records of the Town of Lunenburg Massachusetts Incl. That Part which is Now Fitchburgh 1719 - 1764  {Fitchburg,City Council 1896}.Pages 64,72,75,77, 84, 91, 106, 120, 121, 122, 124, 125).
 	 
	He lived in Rowley, Lunenburg & Winchendon Massachusetts & Rindge, New Hampshire and was a joyner by occupation (John Farnam Boynton & his wife Caroline (Harrimam BOYNTON, The Boynton Family - A Genealogy of the Descendants of William and John BOYNTON Who emigrated from Yorkshire, England in 1638 and settled at Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts  {Groveland, MA 1897) Page 54).
