Isaac Mixer of Cabell in the County of Suffolk, weaver, 21 March 1641 - Aged and sickly of body. "First I give unto my sonne Isaak Mixer of new england"40s. To daughter Briden 40s. to 
daughter Lodg and to daughter Frances 40s apiece. To daughter Sarah 3 pounds 10s. To daughters Amie & Dorothee 4 pounds apiece. Wife to enjoy house and grounds until the next  Michelmas after my decease.  To son John my loom whole as it standeth and one chest. To son 
George one kettle, etc. To daughter Dorothee one bed etc. To daughter Sarah a kettle etc. To  daughter Frances a pair of sheets To daughter Amy a chest. To daughter Jane a mortar and pestle.  To grandchild Mary Mixer a board cloth. To grandchild Lidia Mixer a pillow-beare.  All the rest of goods and chattels to be equally divided between two sons George and John Mixer.  Son George sole executor signed marke of Isaak Mixer Witnesses Samuel Hudson (writer of the  will and Honer Thorne; proved 24 May 1642 and commission issued to George Mixer, natural  and legitimate son and executor named in the will ( Archdeaconry of Suffolk (Ipswich) 1642 #84  original will.2        


Isaac married (1) FRANCES. FRANCES was buried on 24 Feb 1620/1621 in Capel, St. Mary's Suffolk Co. England.3

                       Second Generation

	5.	ISAAC Sr. MIXER (Isaac 1) was christened on 3 Oct 1602 in Capel, Suffolk Co., England. He died in 1655 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA.

ISAAC MIXER, age 31, SARAH, his wife age 33 and ISAAC jur, age 4 came to New England on the ship ELIZABETH of IPSWICH which left England the last of April 1634.8 

ISAAC was a proprietor in Watertown, MA Feb. 1636/7.  He was admitted
freeman there on 2 May 1638.  On 4 Apr. 1654 he was clerk-of-the train band9
.
ISAAC MIXER's Last will & testament is dated 8 May 1655 and names his wife (not called by name); "my sonne ISACKE MIXTURE; "my daughter SARAH the wife of Jno  STEARNES.  The document was witnessed by John COOLIDGE & John SHEARMAN.  An inventory was taken 15 June 1655 by Jno COOLIDGE, Edward GARFIELD & JOSEPH  TAYNTER.  It included "the 4th part of a vessell at Sea called the Dilligent".ISSAC Sr. willed 
his share of the ship to his wife and daughter.10 


ISAAC married SARAH THURSTON on 11 May 1629 in Capel, Suffolk Co.11, England. SARAH died on 24 Nov 1681 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA.12

They had the following children:13

                         Third Generation

	12.	ISAAC Jr. MIXER (ISAAC Sr., Isaac 1) was born about 1630. He died on 22 Nov 1716 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA.16

ISAAC Jr. served in many town offices in Watertown including selectman and town clerk.  He took the Oath of Fidelity in Watertown in 1652.17

The Last Will & Testament of ISAAC Jr. is dated 22 July 1715 and was
probated 1716. He gave and bequeathed "to my wife MARY MIXER; sons ISAAC, JOHN, DANIEL, & BENJAMIN; son-in-law SAMUEL KENDALL in right of his wife REBECCA; daughters SARAH HAGAR, JOANNA WARD; son-in-law SAMUEL HOW in right of his wife  ABIGAIL; son-in-law WILLIAM DAVIS in right of his wife MARY; and son JOSEPH  MIXER who was made executor of the estate (Note:  names of witnesses not legible in 
photocopy of will in my possession)..18

ISAAC Jr. married (1) MARY COOLIDGE on 19 Sep 1655 in Watertown, MA.19  MARY died on 2 Mar 1659/1660 in Watertown, MA.20

ISAAC Jr. also married (2) REBECCA GARFIELD, daughter of EDWARD GARFIELD and REBECCA, on 10 Jan 1660/1661 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA.25REBECCA was born on 10 Mar 1640/1641 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA.26  She died on 16 Mar 1682/1683 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA.27

Watertown, MA. He died in 1725/1726.31 ISAAC married ELIZABETH PIERCE on 17 Oct 1684 in Watertown, MA.32 ELIZABETH died about 1736/1737.Elizabeth's will was dated 12 Feb. 1736/37 mentions brother JOSEPH PIERCE, father DANIEL PIERCE, ELIZABETH wife of Ebenezer GALE of Oxford and  cousin ISAAC PIERCE who was executor and residuary legate..33

	19	F	vi.	JOANNA MIXER was born on 14 Dec 1666 in Watertown, MA. JOANNA married (1) JOSEPH HARRINGTON on 7 Nov 1688 in Watertown, MA.35 JOSEPH died on 3 Dec 1690 in Watertown, MA.36

	21	M	viii.	GEORGE MIXER was born on 20 Jan 1670/1671 in Watertown, MA. He died before 22 Jul 1715 as he is not mentioned in his father’s will.

	27	F	xiv.	DOROTHY MIXER was born on 2 Sep 1680 in Watertown, MA. DOROTHY married WILLIAM DAVIS on 12 Jan 1710 in Watertown, MA.46

	28	M	xv.	DAVID MIXER was born on 6 Aug 1683 in Watertown, MA. He died before 22 Jul 1716 the date of his father’s will.

ISAAC Jr. also married (3) MARY LATHROP, daughter of THOMAS LATHROP about 1687. MARY was born on 4 Oct 1640 Barnstable, MA.47 She  was living 1735.very aged. 48 MARY m1 JOHN STEARNS died 8 Mar 1668/69 Billerica, MA49MARY m2 WILLIAM FRENCH 6 May 1669 Billerica,  MA50 William died 20 Nov. 1681, AE 78.51


                       Fourth Generation

	23.	JOSEPH Sr. MIXER (ISAAC Jr., ISAAC Sr., Isaac 1) was born on 9 Aug 1674 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA. He died on 10 Dec 1723 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA.52

JOSEPH MIXER was treasurer of the West Precinct of Watertown (now Waltham)for the Years 1721-22.53  The Church Records of SAMUEL ANGIER
dated 1697 - last record dated 3 Oct 1718 reads "Brother JOSEPH MIXER and Brother THOMAS LIVERMORE were chosen Deacons at a church meeting at my mansion house by the brethren then & there assembled".54

On 2 Mar 1700 ISAAC & MARY MIXER for 60 pounds sold 3 parcels of land to JOSEPH. One parcel consisted of  30 acres in Watertown, another of 70 acres and another of 1/2 of 14 acres.55

JOSEPH MIXER's estate was administered by his wife ANNA in 1723 and was appraised at 874 pounds.56

JOSEPH Sr. married ANNE JONES, daughter of JOSIAH JONES and LYDIA TREADWAY,about 1703. ANNE was born on 28 Jun 1684 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA.57 She died in 1736 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA.58

JOSEPH Sr. and ANNE had the following children59:

	32	F	iv.	LYDIA MIXER was born on 10 Jun 1710 in Watertown, MA. LYDIA married THOMAS WARREN on 16 Nov 1727 in Watertown, MA.63 They settled Westborough, MA

	33	M	v.	DAVID MIXER was born in Jul 1713 in Watertown, MA. He died 28 Jul 1713 in Watertown, MA.64

	34	F	vi.	MARY MIXER was born on 25 Oct 1714 in Watertown, MA. She died on 14 May 1786 in Watertown, MA.65
MARY married DAVID COOLIDGE. DAVID died on 20 Dec 1772 in
Watertown, MA.66

	35	M	vii.	JOSIAH MIXER was born on 16 Nov 1716 in Watertown, MA. He died about 1789.67

	36	F	viii.	ANNE MIXER was born on 14 Aug 1719 in Watertown, MA. ANNE married ISAAC RICE on 21 May 1741 in Watertown, MA.70

	37	F	ix.	ABIGAIL MIXER was born on 26 Jun 1721 in Watertown, MA. ABIGAIL married BENJAMIN BOND on 4 May 1738 in Weston, MA.71


                         Fifth Generation

	30.	JOSEPH Jr. MIXER (JOSEPH Sr., ISAAC Jr., ISAAC Sr., Isaac 1) was born on 14 Dec 1705 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA. He died in 1794, age 90, in Northbrough, Worcester Co., MA.72

JOSEPH MIXER Jr. resided in Watertown, Shrewsbury & Northborough Mass. He was in Shrewsbury on 3 Dec. 1727 where "he owned the covenant in order to have his child  baptized at Watertown" 73 His wife Mary was admitted to the Shrewsbury Church in 1732.74 

JOSEPH MIXER was a captain in the Shrewsbury Co. of Capt. Artemis Ward for the alarm of 1767(75)

JOSEPH MIXER was commissioned a major in Col. ARTEMUS WARD's Regiment of militia in the Counties of Middlesex & Worcester, Massachusetts on 1 July 1762.76

JOSEPH during the Revolutionary War  contributed cash to the cause giving 39-18-0.77

Joseph MIXER's Last will & testament is dated 10 June 1782 and was proved 2 Sept. 1794.  He bequeathed his wordily goods "......to Elizabeth my well-beloved wife......all the personal estate which she was possessed of when I married her &  thirteen pounds lawful money to be paid in four years after my decease by my son........"given 
her in lieu of her right of dower in my estate"......."unto my son JOSEPH MIXER..one-half of my wearing apparel..."unto my sonTIMOTHY MIXER....sum of five shillings........unto my daughter MARY SIMONS...to be  paid her by my son ASA in one year after my decease, the sum of five shillings.......unto my daughter ABIGAIL PRATT.....five shillings.....my daughter LYDIA PRATT......five shillings........unto my daughter ANN HOWARD one weaver's loom
that is now in her possession......unto my son ASA MIXER....one half of my wearing apparel, all of my husbandry tools & all my household furniture that I had died seized of that is not herein otherwise disposed of provided he pay all the legacies and to pay all my debts as are due and owing by me that were contracted by  me before my intermarriage with my present wife.....I also give unto my said son ASA upon the above conditions the whole of a bond which he gave
me bearing______dates with these presents for one hundred pounds conditioned for the payment of fifty pounds silver money with interest in one year from the date of said bond.

Major MIXER appointed his "trusty and well-beloved friend PAUL NEWTON of Northborough" as sole executor of the estate.  NEWTON later declined this trust and SILAS  HEMINGWAY of Shrewsbury took his place.  The will was witnessed by NABY (illegible),REUBEN DUNTON & ARTEMUS WARD.  The change of executor document was witnessed 
by DAVID NELSON & SALLY PATTERSON.

The inventory of the estate was filed 4 Aug. 1795 and was taken by ISAAC HARRINGTON, DAVID NELSON, & HUMPHREY BIGELOW.  The estate was distributed to heirs and creditors  on 2 June 1801 as follows:

JOSEPH married (1) MARY BALL, daughter of DANIEL BALL and MARY EARL, on 4 May 1726 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA.79  MARY was born on 27 Dec 1709 in Watertown,Middlesex Co., MA.80 She died before 20 Aug 1777 when her husband remarried..

+	46	M	ix.	TIMOTHY MIXER was born on 17 Jul 1748.


JOSEPH also married (2) widow  ELIZABETH BALL on 3 Sep 1777 in Northborough, MA.82  Elizabeth was probably the widow of Nathan Ball of Northborough.

On 10  March 1785 Ebenezer Ball's (deceased) share of his father Nathan Ball's property in Northborough was up for sale. 
Major Joseph Mixer was living on this property and was to be contacted
by persons interested in the property. Massachusetts Spy 16 Mar. 1785.

                       Sixth Generation

	38.	MARY MIXER (JOSEPH Jr., JOSEPH Sr., ISAAC Jr., ISAAC Sr., Isaac 1) was born in Nov 1727 in Watertown, MA. She died on 3 Sep 1783, AE 58, by the kick of a horse in Woburn, MA.83 MARY married (1) DANIEL SIMONDS, son of DANIEL SIMONDS  on 13 Nov 1750 in
Lexington, MA.84  DANIEL died on 9 Feb 1761 in Lexington, MA.85

MA 15 Nov. 1831(121) TIMOTHY MIXER was a Soldier of the Revolution from Peterborough, NH.122  The following is an abstract of the military service for Timothy MIXER.123 

19 Apr 1775 - Lexington Alarm - 3 days service 23 Apr 1775 - enlistment of three months, 16 days - 28th Mass. Regiment 6 Oct 1775 -Name on a company return Jackson's Reg't, Fox's Company 24 Jul 1777 - Pay Accounts for Joseph Fox's Co. & David Hanley's Regiment 31 Dec. 1779 Oct. 1779  7th Company 31 Dec 30 Apr - 1780  at Morristown, NJ (sic)1 Feb. 1778  Deserted 12 Feb. 1779   Returned or retaken
8 Nov. 1779   deserted - his family said to be of Colrain, Mass.

TIMOTHY MIXER is mentioned in his father's will in 1782 and according to the History of Colerain he purchased land there in 1786.  TIMOTHY does not appear on the administrator's accounting for the estate of Major Joseph MIXER 2 June 1801.

On 13 Sept. 1790 Timothy Mixer of Halifax, VT  joined the Baptist Society “Years ago”, and has paid, per Edmund Littlefield, pastor at Colrain,.124

Timothy Mixter applied for a pension 23 Apr 1828, AE 79 from Franklin Co. MA.  He stated he enlisted in Northfield, MA in Feb 1776 under Capt. Shepherd in Col. Porter’s Massachusetts Regiment. He served one year as a private and was discharged at Fort Independence.125 

TIMOTHY MIXER from Petersboro, NH and the one from
Franklin County, Mass. are one and the same, the latter Timothy was born c1749 and the former was born 17 July 1748.  

There is no probate record in the Franklin Co. Courthouse for TIMOTHY
MIXER.
